The mission of Solutions is to promote community economic development by strengthening the economic potential of low- and moderate-income residents in Greater Holyoke. Specifically, the program builds income, economic assets, and human capital.

The Business Development Program provides a seamless continuum of support to start-up and young businesses that are unable to secure traditional business resources. The Self-Sufficiency Program provides public housing residents and TANF (welfare) recipients with comprehensive case management, counseling, and coordination of support services so that they may achieve economic self-sufficiency. The Family Savings Plan offers an asset development strategy to help low-income working families to secure economic self-sufficiency. Eligible families must commit to intensive economic literacy training and saving a minimum of $25 monthly from earned income for a two-year period.
