Holyoke Business Resource Center

The City of Holyoke Office of Planning and Development established the Holyoke Business Resource Center (HBRC), a one-stop, user friendly information center for businesses, large and small.  The HBRC is a computer database, as well as a video and resource library which includes: The Small Business Information Center; Licenses and Permits; Building Blocks for Manufacturers; State and Federal Programs; Local Business Resource Links; and Links to Holyoke Manufacturers.  The HBRC includes information on available development sites, financing, tax incentives, utilities, technical assistance and much more.  The HBRC can be found on the Internet through the City of Holyoke homepage (www.holyoke.org), or on a touch screen at One Court Plaza in the City’s Central Business District.  The HBRC is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Office of Planning and Development

The Economic Development Department is a full-service City Department designed to provide development services to area businesses.   At the Office at One Court Plaza, or by way of e-mail (oeid@ci.holyoke.ma.us) or on the phone (413-322-5655) businesses can access a variety of resources or consult with a professional economic development team.

	The sixteenth annual business and industrial show, produced by the Greater Holyoke and Chicopee Chambers of Commerce, is set for November 2, 2006. Plans are in the works to make this year’s the biggest regional business-to-business show so far.
Commerce 2006

Commerce 2006 will be held at the Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, MA and will begin once again with a large breakfast for exhibitors and attendees. The Chambers expect in excess of 200 exhibitors and thousands of the region’s buyers and decision-makers at the upcoming show.

“This business-to-business show offers more potential buyers in a single day than most are able to call upon in a month,” says Doris M. Ransford, president of the Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce.
